Steve will be having an exhibit through the month of June at Grounds For Coffee, located at 3005 Harrison Boulevard. If you’re looking for something to do, stop in and grab an ice-cold Frap or a piping hot cup of Joe, enjoy some awesome art, and take a stroll through the beautiful grounds. You won’t be sorry!

Steve Stones has two artworks accepted into the Statewide Exhibit at Eccles Community Art Center, which will be displayed from August 1-30. Stones’ works to be shown are  Morton Salt Girl Carrying A Giant Locust and The Swinger.

There’s a reception on August 1 from 5pm-9pm at the Historical Eccles Building, which is located at 2580 Jefferson Avenue.

While you’re in Downtown Ogden, you can also catch some of Stones’ work on August 1 during the First Friday Art Stroll at Sock Monkey’N Around Antiques, located at 236 Historic 25th Street.

Come on out during the First Friday Art Stroll and join in on the fun! We’ll see you there.

Ogden artist steve stonesAlright Steve Stones fans! Steve has been asked to paint the window of a building in downtown Ogden by Patrick Poce of the Eccles Community Art Center. The painting isn’t finished yet; however, Stones says that it’s almost done! Here is a photo of the unfinished painting, you will just have to make a trip to 2564 Washington Blvd. after August 1 and see what’s new! CIAO~

A great time was had by all who attended  the opening of the 2012 Biennial Weber State University Art Faculty Exhibit. If you missed the opening on Friday night, you can still see the FREE ART SHOW until November 23, 2012,  in the  Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery, which is located in the Kimball Visual Arts Center at Weber State University.

The opening if the 2012 Biennial Weber State University Art Faculty Exhibit had a great turn-out of admirers, who enjoyed feasting upon hors d’oeuvres while indulging their eyes with an amazing display of various art styles.

Castle of Chaos Haunted Attraction SOON to Open Doors!

The Castle of Chaos, located at 1134 West Riverdale Road in Riverdale, now features three haunted attractions! The Castle of Chaos is due to open its doors next Friday, September 15. During the month of September, the hours of operation will be from 7:30 – Midnight, Friday and Saturday nights only. During the month of October, the hours of operation will be from 7:30 p.m.- 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 7:30- Midnight on Friday and Saturday Nights. The Castle of Chaos is CLOSED SUNDAYS.
Steve Stones has several nostalgic, carnival-type paintings, which were inspired by the Carnival of Chaos attraction and will be on display. The Carnival of Chaos features several interesting passages which can be appreciated in 3-D.
The Castle of Chaos also includes Seven Deadly Sins, and new haunted attraction, Screamatarium.

         Steve Stones, along with several of his colleagues,  will be participating in the 2012 Biennial Weber State University Art Faculty Exhibit. The art exhibit is free to the public, and a free opening reception will be held on September 7 at 7 p.m., in the  Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery, located in the Kimball Visual Arts Center. 

     All are encouraged to attend the opening event and meet the artists; however, if you’re unable to make it on Friday evening, you’re still in luck! This exhibition can be viewed through November 23.
