While many people are hitting the gym, Steve Stones is preparing works to be shown at the various local opportunities throughout the year.
Stones, who is bringing color to canvas for his 2013 entry of the “Traces of the West Exhibit” and hoping the Ogden Union Station will host it this year, states “It’s important for me seize upcoming opportunities and plan ahead of time.”
But, “Traces of the West” isn’t the only opportunity on Stones’ mind, “I’ve got that show at Grounds for Coffee in October and the Plein Air in June, which they have before the Ogden Arts Festival. It’s important for artists to contribute to local culture by showing their work and getting it out in front of the art s community for them to enjoy and respond to,” he adds.
Many interested artists ask about entering the Annual Ogden Arts Festival, which is typically held in early June. Artists are encouraged to turn in their applications online through Zapplication until the deadline on March 13.
